Brandi Joli is a Black American and Afro-Colombian designer, artist, and arts administrator living in Brooklyn, NY. She is the designer behind ESCARRIA and has been designing contemporary womenswear for 10 years and most recently has begun designing costumes for dance- theatre. The name ESCARRIA originates from Brandi’s maternal abuela, Amalia Escarria, who has worked as a skilled Dressmaker and tailor for over 60 years.
